These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Softveil website at softveilen.info and the in-home elderly care services provided by Softveil. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. Definitions
- "Service" – the in-home elderly care arrangements provided by Softveil
- "User" / "You" – any individual accessing the website or enquiring about or engaging our services
- "We / Us / Our" – Softveil
- "Agreement" – the service arrangement confirmed between Softveil and a client family
- "Content" – all text, images, and materials published on our website
2. Acceptance of Terms
Use of this website or submission of an enquiry form constitutes acceptance of these Terms. You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter a service agreement. If you are enquiring on behalf of another person, you represent that you have authority to do so.
3. Service Description
Softveil provides in-home elderly care services in Taipei, Taiwan, including Hourly Drop-In Care, Health Tracking and Family Reports, and Dedicated Personal Caregiver arrangements. Services are delivered by trained, vetted caregivers and coordinated by our staff team.
Service availability is subject to caregiver availability and geographic coverage. We do not guarantee availability for all requested dates or locations in every instance.
4. Service Arrangements
All service arrangements are confirmed through direct communication with our team. Written confirmation is provided before care commences. Care plans are documented and reviewed at agreed intervals. Changes to the scope or schedule of services are arranged through our coordination contact and confirmed in writing.
5. User Responsibilities
When engaging our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the care recipient's needs and medical situation
- Ensure our caregivers have safe access to the home environment
- Treat all Softveil staff with respect and professionalism
- Notify us promptly of any significant changes to the care recipient's condition
- Arrange payment according to the agreed schedule
Prohibited behaviour includes: harassment, abuse, or mistreatment of any Softveil caregiver or staff member; requesting services outside the agreed scope without prior arrangement; and misrepresentation of care needs during the enquiry or assessment process.
6. Payment Terms
Service fees are invoiced as agreed in the service arrangement. Prices are quoted in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD) and are inclusive of the described scope only. Additional services require separate agreement. Payment methods and schedules are confirmed at the time of arrangement. Invoices not settled within the agreed period may result in service suspension.
7. Cancellation and Adjustments
Drop-in care visits may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice. For ongoing or dedicated arrangements, schedule changes should be communicated at least 48 hours in advance where possible. We reserve the right to arrange a replacement caregiver where the assigned caregiver is unavailable. Long-term arrangements may be terminated by either party with reasonable written notice as agreed in the service arrangement.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, and design — is the property of Softveil or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt any content without our written consent. Use of this website grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access its content for informational purposes only.
9. Disclaimers
Our services are provided in good faith by trained professionals. We do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or medical care. Families are responsible for ensuring their loved one receives appropriate medical attention from qualified healthcare providers. Website content is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Softveil's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client in the preceding three months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, fraud, or personal injury caused by our direct actions.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Softveil and its staff from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of our website, breach of these Terms, or inaccurate information provided during a service arrangement.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services where a care arrangement becomes unsafe, where conduct toward our staff is unacceptable, or where payment obligations are not met. You may terminate a service arrangement in accordance with the cancellation terms agreed at the time of engagement.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct communication. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Taipei City, Taiwan.
14. General Provisions
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Softveil with respect to website use. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that right. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use following updates constitutes acceptance.
